Issue: #49February 2012

Greetings!

Thank you to the businesses and their customers at Acton Woods Plaza for choosing HGRM as part of their monthly program to support local nonprofits.  We received many pots and pans through the Kitchen Outfitters coupon for a pot or pan donation, as well as financial donations.

Despite the lack of snow, the winter doldrums have hit the HGRM flow of donations.  We do have beds and couches that we have often lacked in the winter months, but are very short on dressers and most of the smaller things such as bedding and kitchen items.

You can help in a few ways:

  • If you have items waiting to donate, bring them over to HGRM on Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday mornings from  9AM -12PM
  • Get an early start on spring cleaning and you might find something you haven't used in a while and want to pass it on for someone else to use.
  • Organize a goods collection in your neighborhood, faith community, school or other group.  It's a fast easy way to gather a bunch of towels, sheets, blankets or kitchen items that can be put to use immediately.

Thank you!
