Join the Young Adult Friends Fall Retreat!
The PYM Young Adult Friends Fall Retreat is fast approaching! Friends age 18-35ish will be gathering at Abington Friends Meeting the weekend of October 12-14 for a retreat focused on Arts & Spiritual Renewal, and we invite all young adults to join us!

New Young Friends Coordinator: Hannah Mayer
Cookie Caldwell has served Philadelphia Yearly Meeting as the Young Friends Coordinator for over 30 years. He is leaving some big shoes to fill when he retires at the end of December. Careful consideration has been given to the support the program needs in this time of transition and the Yearly Meeting is pleased to share that Hannah Mayer will step in as the Young Friends Coordinator for a period of 18 months.

Middle Schoolers and the Gathering of Good & Evil
Our community is wrestling with the big questions! Our traditional pumpkin-carving will take place, as well as some awesome workshops, like making seasonal soup, clerking for the MSF community, meditation, and happiness in sexuality and boundaries! We'll top off our time together with a costume ball to celebrate the Halloween season!

First Day School Thread Gathering
One of the Threads that runs through all of our meetings is the ministry of First Day School. The FDS Thread Gathering is an opportunity for adults who are involved in this ministry to come together for wisdom sharing, workshops and fellowship. The event is free, child care and a light lunch are provided and all are welcome. To register, propose a workshop or to find out more go to the FDS Thread Gathering webpage.
