CHREESE update

Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Soy Free, Organic, Vegan Cheese substitute mix! We are very excited to finally have something resembling cheese in our house after 6 years without.
Well, obviously Chreese was a hit, because we were inundated with orders and unfortunately due to a mix up with shipping from the manufacturer, were have been out of stock of the Trial packets for a few weeks. Good news is they are on their way and we will have them within the next few days. The bulk packs are in stock and ready to ship.

Allergy Friendly Caramels One very clever customer has kindly shared her recipe for these amazing caramels - all allergy friendly - thank you Kim B ! 1. Make Sweetened Condensed Milk as per condensed milk recipe and chill 2. Butter a slice tin or small pyrex baking dish Caramels Ingredients 3 Tablespoons of Nuttelex 2 Tablespoons of Golden Syrup 1/2 Cup sugar 200 grams or almost a whole batch of Dari free sweetned condensed milk (as per above recipe) Vanilla extract The Magic 1/ Place Nuttelex, syrup, sugar and 'condensed milk' in a large heavy based saucepan. 2/ Stir over heat until mixture boils. Turn down heat. 3/ Continue to cook stiring well for about 12 minutes. You can test 'chewiness' by popping a small amount of mixture on a cold saucer. I judge my chewyness based on the consistancy of the mixture. Once the mixture stops looking like liquid it is done.... it kinda starts to congeal a little kwim? kinda like scrambled eggs - for those of us lucky enough to remember what scrambled eggs look like once they begin to congeal.... *sigh* 4/ Add vanilla very quickly and pour into tray to set. 5/ Turn caramel onto a chopping board once mostly set - still warmish and cut into squares. Wrap in wax proof or baking paper I also dipped some of my caramles into some dairy free chocolate and made 'cobbers' remember those? YUM! (Kris's note - ENJOY LIFE choc chips would be perfect for this :-) ) Using half the amount of 'condenced milk' will make the caramels hard and toffee like... sort of like werthers original butterscotch. |
I have been dealing with special diets in our house for over 7 years, and in my day to day work here at Allergy Friendly Foods, I constantly talk to people who are just starting out and need assistance. While I had loads of practical experience and have done years of research, I didn't have a 'qualification' to be able to help people on the special diet path. But now I do!!
I'm studying at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in NY to become a Nutrition & Health Coach, and am now certified to be able to start seeing clients. I will be specialising in special diets for Autism, ADD & allergies, which is my passion. And I truly believe FOOD CHANGES EVERYTHING!
Everyone can benefit from better nutrition, and my approach is to guide clients to make small but lasting changes for the WHOLE FAMILY - no cooking separate meals, we are all too busy to be spending double the time in the kitchen!
I will be offering individual coaching programs, webinar series, workshops, shopping tours and cooking classes. All programs will be supported with email, handouts, recipes, food samples & self care items.
I'm so excited to begin this new chapter. If you or anyone you know may be interested in this type of support, head on over to the Nourish Me website and sign up for the newsletter which will keep you updated as to what's happening when. You can also schedule a FREE initial consultation with no obligation.
