Greetings!

Well this is the most exciting news I've had in a very long time to share with you!

As a result of my last visit to the US, a firm commitment to the Australian market by Enjoy Life, and a complete re-negotiation of pricing and freight arrangements, I am delighted to be able to announce that Enjoy Life products have been permanently reduced in price by about 30% across the board! Previously the high prices of these products may have prevented you from trying them and this restructure will now position them very competitively. It has taken us almost 2 years to get to this point and I'm very excited that we finally made it! To all of you who have been buying Enjoy Life products, I say a huge Thank You - without your support and loyalty, we would not have been able to get to a position where we could negotiate the way forward. I can't express how much I appreciate your business and I am so happy that I am able to pass on some significant savings to you and your family.

Please read on to see details of the new pricing and other happenings.

Blog

After mastering Facebook & Twitter, I have expanded my horizons and established a Blog. Called "Allergy Friendly Foods" (very creative huh) I plan to share a few more details of our life and times with the allergy kids, autism & special diets info and my own recent journey into the world of allergies.

I will be having guest bloggers so it won't be just me boring you with my stuff, and I am planning on bringing you useful info from other people and companies.

If you'd like to take a look, you can access it from the BLOG button on our homepage or head over to here

Did you know .....

a few tips & hints (from Enjoy Life's Survival Guide)

  • Grains allowed on a Gluten Free diet - rice, corn (maize), soy, potato, tapioca, beans, sorghum, qunioa, millet, buckwheat, arrowroot, amaranth, flax and Nut flours/meals
  • Grains NOT allowed in any form - Wheat (einkorn, durum, faro, graham, kamut, semolina, spelt), Rye, Barley & Triticale
  • Spelt is a form of wheat. It is often marketed as a wheat alternative, but must be avoided if you are gluten free
  • Wine and hard liquor are gluten free. Beer, ales, lagers & malt vinegars are NOT gluten free (there are now gluten free beers available)
  • Distilled alcoholic beverages and vinegars are gluten free (the gluten peptide is too large to carry over in the distillation process)
  • For those on special diets for Autism, it is recommended you also avoid CORN & SOY as well as being gluten and dairy free, as the peptides in corn and soy can mimic those in wheat and dairy (I can vouch for this from personal experience)

Check your labels! And call the manufacturer if you have any doubts. Food label reading for allergies is a minefield. Over the coming months we will bring you more hints and tips. And if you have any facts that were useful to you that you'd like to share please feel free to let me know so I can include them!

Chocolate cookies/brownieslove cake cookie mix

This week I made up the Love Cake cookies with a handful of Enjoy Life Choc chips thrown in, to make mini brownies. Oh My Goodness, they were divine!

Instructions are on the back of the Love Cake cookie packets. The kids thought it was heaven and I enjoyed a magnificent allergy friendly decadently rich and yummy treat
- no dairy, soy, nuts, gluten - just pure taste sensation.
That's it for now, don't forget that if you have any tips or stories to share I would love to hear from you, and we welcome any feedback any time - kris@allergyfriendlyfoods.com.au

Happy allergy-friendly eating!

Thanks & regards
