Greetings!

Hope this finds you all well.

Things are extremely busy here! I am organising the Gold Coast/Brisbane seminar for the Mindd Foundation (in conjunction with our friends at 1000 Mums making a Difference) and we are on the downhill run now, with the seminar taking place on Sunday 27th June  - for full details click
here

As well I am preparing for a trip to the USA to see Vance's (manufacturers of DariFree), Enjoy Life Foods, Allergy Grocer & a new supplier who I can't tell you about yet. I will be finalising the supply of a whole new range to be introduced to Australia, and I'm sure you are going to be pleased with these products - all allergy friendly and made in a dedicated allergen free facility. We will be ready to go at the end of June so stay tuned and I will give you full details as soon as the shipment is here.

While I'm away (Thurs 10th - Fri 18th June) the office will be manned by my trusty assistants (otherwise known as my Mum & Dad!) so all your queries will be answered and orders processed, however there may be some slight delays so please bear with us during this time.

I will be back with more news next month when we will have our new product line and news from the manufacturers as to what's coming from them.

A new service for youallergy friendly foods logo

Do you know how many calls I get from mums who have just opened their last tin of DariFree and need some more TODAY, or have gone to pack the school lunch box and find there are no Enjoy Life snack bars left in the cupboard?

Well we would like to take the stress off you a little and offer you an auto ordering option.

How does it work?
If you would like to take advantage of this service, there is no cost and absolutely no obligation. I will simply look at your order history and then a week before I think you would need to order I will send you a text message or email reminding you that you might need some more. You can either tell me to send your normal order using details on file, tell me that you don't need anything right now or tell me that you might order some different products so you will go online and do it one day soon.

That's it. I will never ship anything automatically and you are not obliged to have a minimum time period in which you reorder. It's simply a way to try and alleviate the last minute panic when you need a specialty food that takes a few days to get to you.

If you would like to try this system, just email me by clicking here

New Survival Guides

Enjoy Life have just released the new version of their fabulous "Food Allergy & Intolerance Survival Guide". This is a fantastic resource and I urge you to have a look at it. You can access the online version by clicking here
I will have hardcopy versions in the next few weeks and you will be able to order them through the shopping trolley (for free) so add one to your next order (great for friends or families who might not understand as much about food allergies as you do, and invaluable if you are just starting out)

Miss Roben's update

miss roben's logoWe have two new products from Miss Roben's in stock now.

Well one is not so new, we have re-introduced the fantastic Carrot Cake mix. What a tasty and sneaky way to get in those veggies.  This moist cake is bursting with flavor.  It tastes great plain or topped with your favorite icing. It contains sulphite free dried carrots and is free from Wheat, Gluten, Casein, Corn, Dairy, Eggs,Tree Nuts, Peanuts, Fish, Shellfish, Soy, Sesame, Yeast. And it's free of rice as well.

To complement it, we have the Miss Roben's Vanilla Buttercream Frosting mix. Wow! I just tried this one for the first time this afternoon. I made the carrot cake (one mix makes a huge 25cm cake!) and we smothered it in the frosting. It was fantastic, the texture was just right, the taste was just right and there was so much of it. We have a pot of leftover frosting in the fridge right now, and this is after very generously topping the cake, including all the way around the sides. You can colour it, flavour it (suggestions on the pack) and what a decadent way to top off a special occasion cake. The mix is free from Wheat, Gluten, Casein, Corn, Dairy, Eggs, Tree Nuts, Peanuts, Fish, Shellfish, Soy, Sesame, Potato, Rice, Yeast.

Details and nutritionals are here

Living Without magazine living without june 10

The latest edition (June/July) is in stock now. As usual it is packed full of interesting and relevent articles, gorgeous recipes and useful resources.

I will be bringing back from the USA the very handy Living Without dining cards. They have gluten free and casein free versions and I will have both in stock upon my return. They are designed for your wallet and have the names of all the ingredients you need to avoid, including hidden ingredients that you (or the cook) may not even know contain your allergen. They are great to have on hand to use in cafes/restaurants to give to the staff to check ingredients in dishes so you can be sure they are safe for you.

That's it for now, don't forget that if you have any tips or stories to share I would love to hear from you, and we welcome any feedback any time - kris@allergyfriendlyfoods.com.au

Happy allergy-friendly eating!

Thanks & regards
