MEET THE
SUMMER FESTIVAL CAST In the upcoming days, the rehearsal hall doors will open up to welcome the full company of 18 actors who will share the stage for this season's Summer Festival. Among the performers are some familiar faces as well as a few newcomers. We would like to introduce you to a few key players:
You've met our Kate and Petruchio. Now meet Shrew: the Musical's other set of lovebirds, Bianca and Lucentio, portrayed by new
Will Power Ensemble member Ann Marie Gideon and Georgia Shakespeare Associate Artist Neal A. Ghant, last seen on stage as Brutus in last fall's Julius Caesar. Love's Labour's Lost is the story of studious King, played by newcomer Brian Kurlander, and his gentlemen swearing off love in lieu of scholarship until their plans are foiled by the French Princess, portrayed by Associate Artist Carolyn Cook. Fellow Associate Artist Brad Sherrill portrays Berowne, the most outspoken of the King's lads. Rounding out the Summer Festival, King Lear features Georgia Shakespeare Associate Artists Tim McDonough and Chris Kayser as Lear and his fool. Both performers shared the stage in all three of 2009's Summer Festival productions. Our 25th Anniversary Summer Festival also features Associate Artists Joe Knezevich, Park Krausen, Daniel Thomas May, Allen O'Reilly, and Courtney Patterson, with Allan Edwards, Brian Harrison, Casey Hoekstra, Caitlin McWethy, and our 2010 Summer Acting Interns Megan Pickrell and Tucker Weinmann. Check out our website to see a repertory chart. |

Here we go! Our 25th Anniversary Season is officially under way...
Shake at the Lake 2010 was a rousing success. Thank you to the almost 5,000 folks who joined us at Piedmont Park last week for the return of Atlanta's favorite outdoor theatre event.
Now that the set has been cleared from the dock at Lake Clara Meer, it is time to shift focus back to our home here at the Conant Performing Arts Center. The building is abuzz with big surprises in store for our annual Bard's Bash gala, and rehearsals for the Summer Festival's production of Shrew: the Musical are going on as we speak.
Check out some of the highlights featured in this edition of Front Row Center.
We look forward to seeing you at the theatre. As always, thanks for being a part of Georgia Shakespeare. __________________________________________________________
