Greetings!
I love the internet! I am writing this to you from Des Moines, Iowa. We haven't seen any flooding but Robyn Wolfe, Rene Weber, and I have been learning a great deal. We have been visiting a Jim E. Casey site that works with youth who are aging-out of foster care. We head back to Rolla today with many new ideas and plans that I hope to share with you in the very near future.

Adoption Heart Gallery
|
|
Local Connection
I found out that the cover picture for this years Heart Gallery was taken by Lindsey Woessner, daughter of Community Builder's Linda and Mike Woessner! What a beautiful job Lindsey - thank you and congratulations! If you would like to see more photos of children in Missouri who are looking for a permanent loving home please visit their web site:
http://www.moheartgallery.org/
The
Heart Gallery was founded by the New Mexico Children, Youth and
Families Department in 2001 as a unique way to help children in foster
care who are waiting for adoptive families step from the shadows into
the light. Stirring portraits, which reveal the children's amazing
spirits and individuality, have helped many find permanent, loving
homes.

FIT WALK

Join In!
Fit Phelps walkers have been meeting at Green Acres Park to enjoy the benefits of exercise and great company. If you get a chance please take a look at the new Fit Phelps signs on the Acorn Trail and at Ber Juan Park. These signs mark off each quarter mile around the trails. The markers are part of the Fit Phelps program sponsored by the Missouri Foundation for Health and were made by the City of Rolla. We hope they help to promote our 5:30 campaign - 30 minutes of exercise and 5 fruits and/or vegetables each day!
