Mother's Day Celebration
It's that time of year again. The cherry trees are blooming, restaurant patios are open, strappy sandals are replacing mud-covered boots...
AND it is Mother's Day in many countries this weekend, so a big hug and heartfelt thanks to all our moms. We appreciate you more than we can express at times!
May 15 marks International Day of Families, a day to recognise that by nurturing and supporting our families, we strengthen our local communities, create a safe and loving environment for our children and even benefit our entire world socially and economically.
Mahatma Gandhi said: "Be the change you want to see in the world" and I am taking that to heart.
In my spare time I facilitate a course called 'The Power to Parent' which is based on the book " Hold on to your Kids - why Parents matter" written by child developmentalist, Dr. Gordon Neufeld. This information puts us in touch with our (mostly forgotten) insight and instinctive parenting knowledge, allowing us to nurture and support our family with a much greater understanding, which in turn has a ripple effect on our community and the world around us. If this has peaked your interest, feel free to contact me for a chat.
