National Donor Sabbath
Nov. 11-13

The National Donor Sabbath consolidates the individual donation efforts of many faith communities into a national effort for all faiths who wish to participate. Donation and transplant professionals join faith communities to focus on the lifesaving and enhancing gifts passed to others through organ, tissue and blood stem cell donation.  Click here for more information.

Dear Friends & Supporters:

We're still a bit jet lagged from our recent trip to Japan for the international premiere of THE POWER OF TWO at the Tokyo International Film Festival but we couldn't wait to let you know about our amazing October!

Last month was filled with film festivals, accolades, and media attention from around the globe.  Scroll down for more details about our adventures and what's to come in November!

The Power Of Two Returns To Tokyo

Last week, two years after filming began in Japan, THE POWER OF TWO screened to large and enthusiastic audiences at the Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF)!

Misako, Andrew, Isa, Marc & Naomi on Opening Night at TIFF

Director/Producer Marc Smolowitz and our Japan liaisons Associate Producer Naomi Takeuchi and Japan PR Coordinator Misako Kitaoka kicked off the festival by walking the "green carpet" alongside luminaries such as Jackie Chan and the Japanese prime minister.  Isabel Stenzel Byrnes and Producer Andrew Byrnes joined shortly thereafter for the black tie welcome party and the remainder of the festivities.

In addition to two well-received public screenings and one industry screening at TIFF, THE POWER OF TWO and our team garnered substantial interest at TIFFCOM (TIFF's affiliated market for film and TV in Asia) and from the media in attendance.

Festivals & Awards
In addition to TIFF, THE POWER OF TWO screened at another 7 film festivals across the U.S. in October!

Ana in Eugene

The film received special recognition at two festivals, receiving the Audience Choice Award at the San Diego Asian Film Festival and Most Socially Engaging Film recognition at the Eugene International Film Festival, both of which occurred during TIFF.  Ana Stenzel was on hand for both festivals and had an amazing time!

The film also screened as an official selection at the Akron Film + Pixel Festival, Louisville's International Festival of Film, Santa Fe International Film Festival, and United Nations Association Film Festival at Stanford University, and had its first of three screenings as an official selection of the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival
With the exception of Louisville, at least one THE POWER OF TWO team member attended each of the festivals so it's been a very busy month!
