He went into the hills to pray. Mark 6:46
Jesus told the disciples to get into the boat and go to Bethsaida. So the disciples are in the boat in the storm and what does Jesus do while they are in the middle of storm? You'll like this. He was praying.
What does Jesus do when you are in the storm? He is praying for you.
So if Jesus is praying for us and we are in the boat in the storm, what do we do? We row.
Life is filled with opportunities for you to keep rowing. You're in the storm of life and you are faced with the everything that comes with it - what do you do? You row.
You row when you decide to get out of bed, when you want to stay in bed and quit. You row when you continue to love when you feel that you don't have any love left. You row when you step in the right direction when everything inside of you is saying run the other way. You row even when you have been abandoned. You keep rowing in the direction that God told you to go.
Prayer: To My Captain. I will keep rowing on the course you've marked out for me. I'll row in that direction until you direct me somewhere else. I'll row cheerfully without reluctance or complaint. I am your number one rower. And I know you'll take me through the storm to the other side. Amen.

"You Be Havin' An Attitude!" The solemn blessings or what most people know as "The Beatitudes" mark the opening of the Sermon on the Mount, the very first of Our Lord's sermons. Jesus shares the blessings that come with having these eight attitudes. By the end of this series, "you'll be havin' an attitude yourself."
