 "Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4).
We had a piano in our living growing up and my dad would play and my mom would sing. There were a lot of good times around that piano. And I'll never forget the verse in a frame she had on the piano, it read, "Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4). For years, I never really could understand what that meant. It seemed that if I made God happy with me, then I could get what I wanted. I had it wrong. I one day learned that if I would surrender to God's desires that His desires would become mine; and then I would want to do what He wanted me to do. God has beautiful opportunities for you. Don't seek His will. Seek God, and His will comes with Him. The verse could be rewritten to say, "Keep company with God, and get in on the best."
