Going around in circles?
Going in multiple directions?

Thanks to the teachers and staff at Scholars' Academy our children's minds grow by leaps and bounds throughout the year. As parents, we know this takes a great deal of effort and extra care because of the special needs and skills of our kids. Honestly, have you ever imagined being in our teachers' shoes on a day to day basis?!
Every February we mark a week to acknowledge all of the hard work the Scholars' Academy teachers and staff do for our children. This year:
Teacher Appreciation Week is Tuesday, February 16th through Friday, February 19th.
But before you stress, we also realize what a tough economic year this has been. A week of treats adds up quickly (especially for those families with multiple children!). The general consensus has been that it gets to be too much.
Therefore, the PTO has decided to change things around a bit this year. We are eliminating the "daily" assigned gift giving. Instead we are asking that you simply give a single donation of $5 per child (or more if you can). This money will be collected by our room parents and put into a single pot where it will be divided equally amongst the teachers. Each teacher will be presented with a gift card on Thursday.
We will continue to honor our teachers throughout the week. As a token of our appreciation, the PTO will provide "teacher treats" on Tuesday and Friday and a luncheon on Thursday. During the rest of the week, please ask your child to take a moment to say "thanks" to a teacher that has helped them. And, of course, a handmade card from a student is often the most cherished form of appreciation.
