Dear Scholars' Academy Family,

I am honored to be writing you as the new Chair of the Board for the Scholars' Academy.  As you all know, we have a remarkably unique school that plays such an important part in the lives of our children as well as our entire families.  I want to first thank you for rallying last year for both the annual drive and capital campaign, and for your patience as we've gone through an extended process to locate and finance a new building in tough economic conditions.  It really is remarkable how much we have accomplished, and this simply would not have happened without your generosity.

We continue to make progress on the financing side, and while anxious to "get the deal done," we're encouraged that several lending institutions have met with us in the last few weeks, and with more optimism than we were able to get just two months ago.

The Board of Directors is committed to keeping you informed as we move through this process. As you may know, we celebrate our 10th anniversary this year, and I am certainly grateful for all of the support we have received over the last decade to make our school what it is today.  As we look ahead to the next ten years, thanks in advance for your commitment to the Scholars' Academy and your support.

I welcome the opportunity to talk with you more about all that is going on at the school, and to learn more about your ideas and suggestions.  Please feel free to contact me at ggage@empoweredbenefits.com.  Enjoy the rest of your summer, and I look forward to seeing you as we kick-off the 2009-2010 school year.

Sincerely,
