Scholars' Academy got the k-1 Championship 13th place from out of about 40 schools. We are one player short (they choose top 4 players), we only have 3, and they are Alan K. Xie, Ryan A. Xie and Dylan Yang. Top 25 teams get trophy and all other winners have at least 4 players, if we have one more player, we could be even better.

Alan also gets the trophy of 25th place in K-1 Championship.
Pizza Pizza

Friday May 23rd is the last day for pizza.
Thank you to everyone who has ordered this year and a big thank you to all those who have helped serve lunch this year.
Next year we will have Papa Johns pizza on Fridays only.

Online School Photos Update
As wonderful a concept of a school photo repository is, we have come to realize that screening all the photos in order to identify students and ensure those who are not to have their photo published is extremely difficult.

Effective immediately, we will not be adding photos to the school web album; however, the album will remain open with all photos that have been screened to date. Thank you for your understanding.

End-of-Year Happenings at Scholars' Academy

North Carolina Testing begins Tuesday, May 20, with some type of test happening nearly every day until Friday May 30. Third through eighth graders begin the testing cycle with the End of Grade tests in Reading Comprehension and Mathematics. Fifth and eighth graders also have an End of Grade test in Science. The week after the Memorial Day holiday, sixth, seventh, and eighth graders take End of Course tests in Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and Biology I.

Please have your children at school on time (prior to 9:15am) with a good night's rest and a hearty breakfast. The time alloted for each test is different. Some may take only 60 minutes and some may take four hours. The EOG's and EOC's are one method that the state uses to calculate the quality of the school, so the test results are an important component of our school profile.

School Yearbook Signing
will be on Thursday afternoon, May 29 at 2:30pm. The form to reserve a yearbook for your child is on the website under the documents tab.

The Scholars' Academy Talent Show goes on at 9:30 am on Friday May 30. Students auditioned with the student council a couple of weeks ago, and 50 student acts of dancing, comedy, music, and drama will be presented to the student body and interested parents in the gym.
