COURSE DESCRIPTION:
4 smaller CEU's will make up this .6 CEU educational day. The CEU topics will cover everything you ever wanted to know about textiles and finish materials selections. Beginning with the description for the symbols/codes on the back of the fabric samples to how to specify the right product from the numerous performance finishes available. Additionally, we will explain how the chemistry of materials can impact the life-cycle assessment for furniture.

Sustainable Design Education Fund
This fund serves as a vehicle to advance the awareness and knowledge on the topic of sustainable design.
IIDA Professional and Associate Members who take and pass the LEED Accreditation Exam may apply for consideration for tuition reimbursement.
The Foundation will award financial Assistance to 5 IIDA members. The process will be a lottery system.

NCIDQ Reimbursement Fund
This fund offers IIDA Associate Members an opportunity to apply for financial assistance upon passing all three parts of the NCIDQ exam.
Reimbursement will range from $650 to $740, depending on whether the member took all three parts at one time or sat for the three parts separately.
The Foundation will award financial assistance to 5 IIDA members per session. The process for determining the recipients will be a lottery system.

RE:Award winners announced
This June we hosted our first Recognizing Excellence Gala at the Renaissance Arts Hotel in New Orleans, LA. Along with a cocktail party that included 80+ people from the design community, this event promoted our RE:Awards Design Competition. Six Awards of Excellence and two Awards of Recognition were presented.
