"I'd imagine the whole world was one big machine. Machines never come with any extra parts, you know. They always come with the exact amount they need. So I figured if the entire world was one big machine, I couldn't be an extra part. I had to be here for some reason. And that means you have to be here for some reason too."
movie character Hugo Cabret, in the movie, "Hugo"
On New Year's Eve, we had a lovely water ceremony of "dissolving" that which no longer serves us, and enjoyed some time of Silence in which to contemplate our journeys. If you were there, I hope you are still reading your "I Am Willing" statement every day. Whether you were there or not, I invite you pause for a bit today, and consider where you are, where you are going, what your mission might be, and whether you are willing to participate in that work. Because, no matter what anyone else thinks or says, you have free will! You get to choose! I may think something looks very much like your work, but you are the only one who really knows. Only you can discern your next right step. No one else has the right to determine your next right action.
In the dance that is Life, we have a continual parade of choices before us. In each moment, we get to choose- what is the music of my Life? What is the path that is mine to walk? Do I hold on or let go? Is it safe for me to take the next step if I don't know where I'm headed? The first right answer is always to go within
Becoming still, allow yourself to be receptive to the Wisdom of What Is. In that stillness, we learn what we are, and what we are Becoming. Claim the intention to act only in alignment with the Truth that you are.

Breathe... in.... out... in... out... God is... I Am... Joy is... I Am... Life is... I Am... Truth is... I Am...
In this receptive willingness, the next steps can be known. Life reveals Itself before us and offers us a banquet of possibilities. Life opens up as a panorama of Infinite Potential. What do you see? Sometimes we see things that make perfect sense, other times we see only mystery before us. Simply observe. Listen to the stillness. Remain willing. Continue to breathe... in... out... in... out... On occasion, it is good to stop, to pause, to notice and acknowledge in some special way that the cycle of Life is in play in your life. Spirit does not change. Life is eternal, yet outer appearances change constantly. If we become too attached to the picture of "How We Think Things Ought To Look", we can find ourselves frustrated, stumbling, forever grasping to hold on to whatever it is that is no longer ours to do. Our souls are ever-growing, ever-evolving, ever-increasing in awareness of the Truth that we are. In this quiet moment of willing receptivity, notice what is before you. Simply sit and listen for the guidance and urging of Spirit. Is something tugging for your attention? Is something from your past weighing you down? Is there an incomplete task nagging in your consciousness? If so, determine whether it is time to complete it or release it. Commit to take the actions necessary to release yourself from this unfinished mental clutter. Is an act of forgiveness needed? Step into whatever discomfort you have around the situation and declare your willingness to forgive. You do not need to know how to forgive, you simply need to be willing to forgive. Commit to stop telling this story of victimhood. Commit to free yourself from this mental bondage. In some way, each action you take matters. In some way, you are responsible for the upward progress of all of humanity. That can sound overwhelming, but really, all it takes is your willingness to do your part, one step at a time. It takes is your willingness to become still each day, see what is before you to do, and commit to that one action. When that action is taken, affirm your willingness to know the next right action. Knowing that action, commit to taking that next step. There are no extra parts. You are necessary. You are important.

Teri Wilder is Coming to Town!

Tickets $10.00, kids admitted free
Our good, good friend, Teri Wilder is coming home for a visit. One of the nicest things you'll do for yourself this year is enjoy a day with Teri. She is warm, funny, thoughtful and committed to sharing the Joy of Spirit through her gift of music. We sing Teri's songs, "I Choose Joy", "The Awakening", "I Allow", and "Rise Up" frequently as part of our Sunday services- plan on being present to hear her in person.
We'll be enjoying her music at our service that morning, and after a break for lunch, we'll gather again to allow Teri's music to lift us up in song. Visit her website, www.teriwilder.com for music samples, lyrics, and more information. Download the flyer, share it with your friends, and plan to enjoy a very, very special day of joy and awakening through music.

If you attended our Sunday lesson series focusing on living the Unity principles, you do not need to attend the whole session, you simply need to attend the first part, which will be a short video explaining a bit about Unity's history and governing bodies. Pick up a membership application at church, and either place it in the offering or give it to Nita or any Board member.
