Spring is a time of growth and renewal. We've just completed the journey through Lent, and celebrated Jesus' great demonstration as he showed us what is possible when we believe in the infinite power of transformation through the Christ within each of us. Now that Easter is over, our work is to continue to grow and evolve, to continue to live in ever more awareness of the Christ that we are.
When we declare an intention of change, we sometimes find that its easier to declare that intention than it is to actually make the changes that we need to make. When we find ourselves in that state, we are in quite good company. Jesus, through his comments to the disciple Peter, acknowledges that, "the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." (MT 26:41)
St. Paul shares this observation about himself: "I can will what is right, but I cannot do it. For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I do.
Romans (7:18-19)
In the coming weeks, we'll continue looking at positive actions we can take that will help us to actually follow through on our intentions of change, and to bring about real transformation in our lives. For now, we can open our hearts and our minds, continue to listen to the "still, small, voice", and place one foot in front of the other, one day after the other, and do what is ours to do.
C - Cooperate. Remain willing.
H - Heed the guidance within.
A - Allow what is no longer useful to fall away.
N - Non-resistance. That which we resist, persists...
G - Grace is always available. Open your heart to It.
E - Enough. As in, you are enough. Right here and right now, you are enough.
This week, keep yours eyes, ears, and heart open to opportunities to live your intention. We are surrounded by opportunities to reinforce our highest and best possible actions. Once again, remember that transformation does not always require a grand gesture. Each moment is another moment to remember your intention, and each step you take is proof of your willingness to cooperate with Oneness.
