Sofame's booth was busy at the ASHRAE Show in Chicago!
Attending the ASHRAE Show in Chicago this week was a really good move for Sofame. Booth 4997 in the heating and boiler half of the show was visible to many of the 50,000 visitors from 120 countries, mainly the USA and Canada. We received interest from new representatives who are already selling boilers, and also from well established Rep firms moving more into the heating and energy efficiency arena.
Sofame Receives Order from AB Mauri Fleischmann's
Sofame received a new order from the Fleischmann's Yeast plant in Montreal.
The new system is aHybrid Percomtherm® water heater for the manufacturing plant. The hybrid unit will recover energy from the existing boilers' flue gases, while producing hot water at temperatures up to 180°F with an overall fuel to water efficiency approaching 99%. The order is not considered major, however, delivery is being scheduled within eight weeks, which is less than the 12-16 weeks typically required for engineering and production of a Sofame product.
The food processing industry uses large quantities of hot water for cleaning, sanitation and product preparation. Sofame is pleased to accommodate Fleischmann's requirements through and upgrade of their water heating equipment at the Montreal plant which will add operating flexibility and reduce fuel costs.
Percotherm Optimizes Recovery of Waste Heat
Another great product, the Sofame Percotherm® direct-contact condensing stack economizer -- so named because cool water percolates down the stainless steel water heater tower where it comes in direct contact with the heated air going up your boiler's flue -- puts the hot air back to work for you. The result? Generation of hot water at temperatures up to 140-degrees F with:
