Sofame Signs Representation Agreement with Superior Boiler Works, a Company with a Strong Presence in Greater Toronto

MONTREAL, December 23, 2008 - Sofame Technologies Inc. (TSX Venture Exchange: SDW), a leading manufacturer of innovative commercial-industrial heat recovery equipment, has signed a representation agreement which grants Superior Boiler Works & Welding Ltd. of Hamilton, Ontario (www.sbww.com) exclusive rights to market and sell Sofame products in Ontario from Kingston to the west including the greater Toronto area. 

 
Superior was founded in 1962, and recently expanded its manufacturing plant to over 100,000 sf in Stoney Creek, Ontario. Superior has the capabilities to construct boilers pressure vessels and heat exchangers weighing up to 600 tons for the petroleum, petrochemical, steel, water treatment and energy sectors. Superior also offers complete mechanical and electrical contracting which includes installation and service.  Superior's installation and service business is growing, and David DeFaveri, Vice President, expects the manufacturing side to grow more rapidly as the Company explores international markets aided In part by the lower Canadian dollar.

DeFaveri said, "Superior is very familiar with Sofame's direct contact condensing technology.  Our existing customers operate large thermal plants and have an immediate need to become more energy-efficient and reduce operating costs.  Sofame is a known and reliable product in Ontario, particularly in the Toronto area.  We are impressed by the depth of their engineering knowledge, and have already begun work designing three projects with Sofame."
