NIH Launches New Registry for Genetic Testing Data

Earlier this month, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) officially launched a web-based Genetic Testing Registry. The goal of the registry is to provide a centralized public resource for clinicians, researchers and consumers to access information about the availability and scientific basis of numerous genetic tests. For example, you could search for a specific condition, like scleroderma, and find all the available genetic tests for it. Users can then find out more about the labs that run the tests.

You can access the Genetic Testing Registry at www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/gtr/.
