Study Shows Stem Cell Transplant Helps Lung Function

A study conducted at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago recently concluded that stem cell transplantation in systemic sclerosis (SSC) patients helped improve lung function and skin flexibility.

Dr. Poole is an occupational therapist, educator and researcher with more than 25 years experience working with scleroderma patients. She recently was awarded the National Volunteer of the Year Award.
