Greetings!

Foundation to Attend 2010 ACR Annual Meeting
Members of the Scleroderma Foundation national staff will be in attendance for the Annual Meeting of the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) in Atlanta, Georgia. This international event is considered the premier meeting for rheumatologists and basic and clinical researchers in the rheumatology field. ACR officials are expecting more than 18,000 attendees at this meeting, which is scheduled to run November 6-11.
The Foundation, which continues to uphold its longstanding presence at the conference, plans to bolster existing relationships with physicians, current and potential funding partners, patient/membership organizations, and others while creating new connections.
The meeting also provides a prime opportunity for the organization to launch the second edition of the "Scleroderma Spectrum," a clinical newsletter for medical professionals.

This edition of The Scleroderma Spectrum was made possible by unrestricted educational grants from Pfizer, Inc., and Actelion Pharmaceuticals US.
The Foundation is also sponsoring a forum on Juvenile Scleroderma at the ACR Conference which is being led by the Hamburger Zentrum für Kinder und Jugendrheumatologie in Hamburg, Germany. Topics will include:
- An update on the propspective inception cohort for Juvenile Systemic Sclerosis Project (for more information on this project, click here).
- "Consensus Treatment Plans for Localized Scleroderma: Update on the CARRA-Rx Project."
- Results of an international survey regarding indication for autologous bone marrow transplantation in children with juvenile systemic sclerosis.
