Tracleer Receives Label Extension in the U.S. for the Treatment of Patients with Mildly Symptomatic WHO Functional Class II Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

ALLSCHWIL, SWITZERLAND – Actelion Ltd (SIX: ATLN) announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved the company's supplemental New Drug Application (sNDA) for Tracleer® (bosentan) to treat patients with mildly symptomatic WHO Functional Class II (FC II) pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). The U.S. FDA has also approved Actelion's Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS) for Tracleer®.

Ventavis (Iloprost) in Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension Receives U.S. Approval for Increased 20 mcg/ml Strength Formulation

ALLSCHWIL, SWITZERLAND – Actelion Ltd (SIX: ATLN) announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved a new 20 microgram per milliliter (mcg/ml) formulation of Ventavis® as a therapy for New York Heart Association Class III and IV pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). This new increased 20 mcg/ml strength formulation will deliver the same dose in half the volume which is expected to reduce inhalation time and further support patient compliance.
