At the 2009 National Patient Education Conference, the Foundation recognized the achievements of a number of individuals and groups who went above and beyond in their efforts to promote the Foundation's mission. The awards were presented to 12 individuals during the Saturday evening Awards Banquet, sponsored by Actelion Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
