Revatio = sildenafil = Viagra

Problem: A female patient with primary pulmonary arterial hypertension who was receiving Tracleer (bosentan) and Revatio (sildenafil) went to the emergency department with ischemic chest pain and ECG changes. The emergency dept. physician reviewed the woman’s medication list but did not know that Revatio was sildenafil or understand its contraindications.
