Feng Shui Outdoors
Did you know you can lay the BaGua over any part of your land and use it as a guide to enjoy that space more. Simply orient the BaGua energy map so that the predominant way you enter this space is either from the Knowledge area, the Career area, or the Benefactors area. Use the color, or the element associated with each of the areas to strengthen its benefit. If you do not have a copy of the with the colors and the elements showing, you can e-mail me and I will be glad to send you a copy. Put BagGua Map in the subject line. Your Desk
 Use the BaGua map to organize your desk
* Use center area of your desk for the task at hand and keep it clean and clutter free. When you move to a different task, remove whatever was there and put the new in it's place. You'll focus better and be more productive. I know today it's "good" to multitask, but VERY few can do this with great results. * Do not keep your checkbook in the wealth area, as it represents money going out. Do keep bank statements and account books in this area. * Put a plant with rounded leaves in the benefactors area of the desk. It not only freshens the air, it also offers stability energetically.
* If you deal with the public, keep your Rolodex in the relationship area: the better your relationships, the more your abundance will increase. You might also keep your telephone and address book in this area or in the benefactors..
* Find a beautiful crystal paperweight and put it in the fame area: this sets up an energetic boundary for your desk and the current project you're working. If you have a beautiful landscape with a bit of red in it, place it on the wall directly opposite where you sit. This can open you to future possibilities. * Always take the time to analyze what's happening in your life and note where there is a lack, note where there could be improvement, note where there's too much. Use the principles of Yin and Yang to achieve balance. Yin is soft and receptive, while Yang is male, assertive, and angular. For example, if you want to strengthen your relationship with clients or customers, choose a white phone and or a white address book with good strong lines. If you need nourishment (energetically) choose padded desk accessories. Take time when you design your desk - for many of us it means the root of our income. You get the idea. |

Use it or Lose it!

Greetings!
We'll be talking about 3 different things in this issue: 1) lighten your load by getting rid of some easy things, 2) using feng shui for your outdoor areas, and 3) using the BaGua map while to set up your desk. Hopefully you'll get a lot of good ideas from this issue, things you can use to make your life better.

Lighten Your Load
* You can get rid of paper copies of paid bills. Worried about the IRS? If necessary, you can get them off the Internet or your bank. If you're worried check with your tax person and asked exactly what paper needs to be saved that cannot be legally retrieved from the Internet or the bank.
* Get rid of computer printouts. If it's something you want to save, save it on your hard disk. Or your backup to be kinder to the planet and have less to clean up. If your printer is old and only prints on one side, save that paper and use the 2nd side.
* You don't really need more than 2 sets of bed sheets per bed. Take the number of people living in your house and the maximum number of guests that you house during the year (that's who visit all at once!), multiply that by 2 and you have how many towels and wash cloths you need. Recycle all the rest to Goodwill or the Salvation Army. Better yet, find if there is a service agency in your town that helps abused women who left everything behind. They may need to set up house again. Also many animal shelters take used linens.
* Go through your medicine cabinet and under the sink cabinets trashing out-of-date items like cosmetics. How about the hair dryers and the like gathering dust. If you don't use it daily or weekly, get rid of it.
* If you have extra hangers in your closets, gather them: the wire ones can go back to the dry cleaners, plastic ones to the Salvation Army.
Check the garage and the basement, as well as the den for any hobbies or projects you used to do. It's doubtful you'll return to them, and if you do you can find new supplies. Notice how much lighter you're beginning to feel.
* Most of us now use DVD players, so go through the old VCRs and give them to a retirement home, assisted living facility, or other organization where they can entertain others.
Don't just toss this stuff, realize that we already have overburdened the planet. See if you can't repurpose it by getting working items to another individual or group who can use them and appreciate them.
