Over 60 Events in 10 days makes this the biggest BikeFest yet!

We are excited to present the 7th Annual BikeFest Calendar of Events. We're happy to report that the local bike riding community came up with a variety of creative and fun events this year.

Some of the annual BikeFest events are back, like the popular Thick Bikes Ride to the World Pinball Championships, the Women's Mountain Bike Ride, and a variety of Flock of Cycles Rides.

Pittsburgh Filmmakers will be hosting an outdoor screening of the classic Kevin Bacon messenger-flick, Quicksilver, on the PCA Lawn at Fifth and Shady (film will move under the tent in the event of rain).

There are some fun new events as well including a Cycling and Yoga Ride, a Northshore Public Art Tour, Tree Pittsburgh's Tree Ride, a Zombie Ride, and a Batman-themed ride to the movie set that will be in Downtown Pittsburgh.

Check out the amazing BikeFest 2011 Online Calendar of Events

We'll have a printable pdf of the calendar available very soon.

Meet Becca Susman - BikePGH's newest team member

beccaNew Membership and Outreach Coordinator

We just hired our fourth staff member, Becca Susman.  Becca will be handling all of the Member services and is tasked with making your membership experience even better!  She will also be responsible for outreach to new communities and coordinating volunteers.

Becca is an avid cyclist who first got a taste of the Pittsburgh hills in 2003. Another casualty of the PGH boomerang, she commuted by bike in several cities before cycling back to attend grad school. Biking the new paths and lanes with her friends helped her to find a home in the cycling community. Now holding a Masters in Social work with a concentration in Community Organizing and Social Administration, she is thrilled to be able to work with the community that has given her so much.
