Enrico's Tazza D'Oro Cafe
Mayor Ravenstahl and City Council to Announce New and Exciting Efforts to Make Pittsburgh More Bike Friendly!
Celebrate this momentous occasion with us!

Monday, August 11th
At Enrico's Tazza D'Oro, 1125 N. Highland Ave, 10:30AM [Map]

Please join us at this press conference, and represent the City's cycling community as Mayor Luke Ravenstahl and Coucilman Patrick Dowd announce new efforts for making Pittsburgh's streets safer for cyclists.

Also on hand will be the City's new Bike/Ped Coordinator, Stephen Patchan - who represents the first step in this initiative. A Richard King Mellon Foundation-funded position, the Bike/Ped Coordinator will examine traffic and development questions with an eye to increasing cycling and walking both as recreation and a commuting alternative.

All US Cities that are serious about encouraging bicycling have dedicated staff to see that cyclists and pedestrians are planned for in every city project. It's exciting to see Pittsburgh make this a priority and become the first city in Pennsylvania to hire a full-time Bike/Ped Coordinator!

Please come celebrate the City's of Pittsburgh's exciting new efforts to make Pittsburgh a better, safer place to ride a bike!
