Pittsburgh Bike Map Nears Completion

Stay Tuned For Launch Date!

bike map pittsburghWithin the next few weeks, Pittsburgh cyclists will have a great new tool to help them pedal around town.  We at Bike Pittsburgh, working in conjunction with DeepLocal, are putting the finishing touches on the first hand-held bicycle map of Pittsburgh since the Sophie Masloff administration in the early nineties.

The map is designed with the commuter and urban explorer in mind, in the hopes that folks can learn some safer routes between neighborhoods, as well as explore some new territory.

We don't have a launch date yet, but stay tuned to the site to find out when.

It's that simple.

Logging Your Bicycling Complaints is as Easy as 3-1-1
Non-emergency Response Line is a great way to make your bicycling concerns known

Always have to swerve to avoid that dangerous pothole? Cars going way too fast on a certain stretch of road? Is the lack of a safe on-street connection into Oakland from Downtown getting you down? Call 311!

311 isn't a magic bullet, but it does create a paper trail and complaints will get sent to the appropriate department to be addressed. It's easy, and only takes a minute of your time. Personally, we've had a decent amount of success with 3-1-1 especially getting dangerous potholes repaired and having debris removed from trails.

If you want to go the extra mile and you have a specific need that should be addressed in the neighborhood in which you live, don't be shy - Contact your Councilperson.
