BikeFest '07 Wrap-up
|
|
Thanks to all who participated!
It's hard to believe - our third annual BikeFest has come and gone. It
seems like yesterday that we started this incredible experiment that is
BikeFest - a series of mostly free events for and by the Pittsburgh
cycling community - to have fun and raise awareness for cycling in Pittsburgh. Thanks to everyone who helped make it such a great
time - the event leaders, volunteers, sponsors, and the participants!
BikeFest
'07 introduced a ton of new folks to Bike Pittsburgh. In the last month
over 250 new people signed up for our e-newsletter, and over 90 folks
became members! That's a whole lot of new bicycle advocates! Welcome to the Pittsburgh cycling community!
If you want to see some great photos of a few of the BikeFest events check out this site!

Wired to Win Now Playing at Carnegie Science Center
|
|
Surviving the Tour de France
Wired to Win, an extraordinary new film in IMAX®, showcases the amazing
ability of the human brain to overcome adversity, accomplish the
near-impossible, and power each of us to victory and success in life.
The brain's abilities are illustrated through cyclists racing in the
Tour De France. Over the course of the event, they are caught up in
hair-raising crashes, dramatic battles over the Alps and Pyrenees and
action-packed descents down steep mountain roads. Their ultimate goal?
The finish line on the Champs-Elysees in Paris.
