Mark Your Calendars!
BikeFest is Bike Pittsburgh's annual membership drive - celebrating two wheeled
madness, and showcasing Pittsburgh in all of its uniqueness and beauty. BikeFest is a framework for organizing
bicycle-themed events. Whether you ride everyday, the weekends, or
always wanted to try, BikeFest has an event for you!
Call for Volunteers!
The calendar of events is open to whoever wants to organize an
event, and make it relate to the bicycle. There are still plenty of openings on the calendar. BikePGH and Free
Ride are providing the framework, merely acting as the "hub" to
catalyze the events. You can either put on an event as an individual or as an organization. Be creative!
Bike Swap: For the second year in a row we're holding a Bike Swap - a huge flea market filled with bikes, bike parts, gear, and memorabilia clothing. If you want to sell any of your bike stuff please email bikefest@bike-pgh.org to make a reservation. First come first served!
BikeFest Party Team and Poster Distribution: We're going to need a lot of help the word out for BikeFest. If you can help distribute posters around town or if you can help set up for the party prior to/or on June 29th contact us at: info@bike-pgh.org. Thanks!
Donate and be recognized! We know not everyone has time to organize or participate in events, but many of you want to contribute in some way. You can do so by donating to help us run this fantastic event. Any amount helps - $10... $50... $100... $1,000! No donation is too small. All donations are tax deductible, and we will recognize your generosity on a great big poster at the BikeFest Party (June 29th) and list you in our BikeFest emails and summer newsletter. Please send donations using PayPal to donate@bike-pgh.org and make a note that it is for BikeFest. Or please send a check to:

Action Alert: Comment on SPC's Long Range Plan
|
|

Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission (SPC) is holding a series of important public meetings to seek public comment on its long range transportation plan (called "Project Region"). Help us make sure they hear from bicyclists and pedestrians. We can't stress how important these meetings are. SPC is in charge of managing hundreds of millions of dollars of transportation funds for our region. Show up and tell them you'd like to see more money go towards bike/ped facilities and infrastructure.
Click here for the meeting schedule for all 10 counties in the region!
