The Pellston Market Food and Wine Adventurers have returned home from Puglia!
The jet lag is beggining to wear off and I am trying to get back into the Northern Michigan Fall after the unseasonably warm and sunny weather on our trip.
We were a small, merry band of adventurers dividing our time between the georgeous Ionian and Adriatic coasts, discovering delightful foods, wines, architecture, flowers, friends and unique experiences!
We had so much fun touring wineries and tasting the wines, bread making in a wood burning oven, watching the cheesmakers produce fresh burrata and straticella,
cooking with the staff at Hotel Montecallini, shopping, shopping, city walks with our various guides, the evening "aperitivo" with our leader Gioacchino, astounding 12 and 14 course antipastos, all preceeding full dinners, and so much more!
Well my program is failling me and I am having a hard time finishing this so I'll break for now and just let you know the next adventure is off to Northern Italy in the Piedmont in the late Spring of 2012, followed by a return to Sicily in the Fall of 2012! |
