Community Research Initiative (CRI) researchers answer leading-edge treatment questions that touch lives everywhere. 

 

This week, CRI Research Director Dr. Cal Cohen and CRI Board President Jeremy Holman, PhD were featured among HIV experts and world leaders at the 19th International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2012) in DC.  

 

Dr. Cohen Presents QUAD vs. Atripla & ECHO and THRIVE

Dr. Cohen was the presenting author of the  Gilead QUAD (elvitegravir/cobicistat /emtricitabine/tenofovir DF) vs. Atripla (efavirenz/emtricitabine /tenofovir DF) study and reported on year two data.

He also presented 48-week pooled data from ECHO and THRIVE, two international studies that supported the 2011 FDA approval of rilpivirine.

Dr. Cal Cohen was also a faculty member at Wednesday's satellite symposium entitled The HIV Experience 2012: Focus on Prevention, Testing, and Treatment.

Jeremy Holman presented on how stigma affects care-seeking behaviors in an abstract entitled HIV stigma among people living with HIV in Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire, 2009.
