Help Footlights expand to a location near you!
 
Ms. Joy, and the rest of the Footlights staff have heard the request to move to another location over and over again. We would like to make that happen with the help of Mission Small Business and customers like you!
 
Through Mission Small Business, Chase and Living Social are giving away up to 12 $250,000 grants to deserving small businesses.  Footlights is applying for a grant so that we might be able to expand to another location, but we need your help!  
 
We need to get at least 250 votes on the Mission Small Business website  by June 30th to be considered for a grant.  Plus for every vote cast another $5 will be added to the grant pool.  What are you waiting for...go vote!

Off The Sales Rack...

We get a lot of different reactions when it's time to ring up. It's pretty common for dancers and their families to find themselves spending $100 or more when they shop at Footlights. Some parents sigh. There's always the "You owe me." Some parents even request not to hear the transaction totals. My personal favorite is always the volunteered "Thank you" from those of you who truly appreciate the sacrifice your parents are making.

 

Let's face it: dance is an expensive hobby.

 

So what can you do about that? Well, as much as Ms. Joy appreciates your business, I've compiled a list of some things you can do to help you stretch your supplies and allow your wallets to recover a little between trips to the store.

 Capezio Tiffany "Classic"


Capezio Tiffany - As many of you know we have had some problems with the Tiffany in the past few months.  Capezio completely re-vamped all of their shoes and in doing so the Tiffany was a completely different shoe. It did not fit the same way it had before and it did not fit the needs of Footlights or many of our dancers wearing the shoe.  Well we have worked very hard with Capezio to rectify this problem.  We are happy to announce that the Tiffany "Classic" is back!

 

Capezio has agreed to keep making the Tiffany to the original specifications just for Footlights!  This shoe will now be a Special Make-up (SMU).  If you wore the Tiffany before and were unhappy with the new version come in today to try on the "Tiffany Classic" still available in both medium and hard shanks.

 

Suffolk Stellar - The much anticipated Suffolk Stellar is finally finding it's way into the store.  We first announced this shoe to you over a year ago and we are very happy to say that it is finally arriving!  We feel this shoe will live up to all of the anticipation and the hype. The Stellar should prove to be another of our most popular shoes as it has the same ground breaking construction as Suffolk's last two shoes, the Solo Prequel and the Spotlight.  

 

Suffolk's patent pending design is used in the Stellar to offer the dancer a supportive box and arch-hugging insole, which helps with alignment and correct placement while en pointe. Dancers will feel lifted and will be less likely to sit in this pointe shoe. The shoe features a  medium vamp with the signature Suffolk handcut U shape. It is a  low profile shoe with a  stable platform and has a flexible upper vamp for superior comfort and fit. The Stellar is available in light and standard shanks. 

 

Capezio K540 - a popular new tap shoe from Capezio is now
available at Footlights.  It features a 
full grain calf skin leather upper and full grain leather lining and sock lining. It comes already "built-up" with a stitched double leather sole and stacked leather heel. "Where's Footlights"? Contest!
 
Are you going away to a summer intensive? Footlights wants to know where all of our dancer friends are going this summer which lead to the premise of our latest contest, "where's Footlights"?  
 
Take a picture of yourself at your intensive, send it to us and be entered in a drawing for a $100.00 Footlights gift card!  
 
All of the photos will be featured on the bulletin board at back to school showing where all of you have been this summer.
