More than 900 MSS members have registered for the 75th Annual MSS Meeting March 29th - April 1st.  

  • If you're not one of them - all is not lost! You can still register in Minneapolis!  Onsite registration opens at 5:30 pm, March 28th.
  • If you are already registered - thank you!  Visit MSS online to see the final program and plan your conference experience so you don't miss a thing!

 

Optional tours still have space for you. See the Tours page for full info. 

  • 8 spaces left: Food Spaces, Tradition and Cultural Identity, $22, Thursday, 11:45 am - 2:30 pm.
  • 3 seats left: Exploring Feminism & Identity through Minneapolis's Vibrant Art Scene, $40, Friday, 6:00 - 9:00 pm.
  • 12 places available: Hindu Temple of Minnesota, $24, Saturday, 9:30 am - 12:30 pm.
  • And if you bring your own bike - you can still join Resilient Twin Cities: A Two-Wheeled Exploration, $11, Saturday, 12:30 - 3:30 pm.

 

MSS Meet-the-Authors Luncheon will be held Saturday, March 31st, 11:30 - 12:15, in the Exhibits Hall, 4th Floor. Authors will welcome you to their lunch table for informal chats about using their book in your teaching or research -or the topic of your choice. Thanks to our sponsor, Pearson - FREE LUNCH to the first 50 participants!

Invitation to reception sponsored by the Minority Scholars Committee  All scholars and MSS members interested in the Minority Scholars Committee and its activities are invited to attend a reception on Saturday, March 31, from 5:30 - 6:30 pm, in the Presidential Suite at the conference hotel. [Look for the suite number at MSS registration.] Please rsvp by email before March 23 to Committee Chair J.S.  Onesimo [Ness] Sandoval

 

Invitation to reception sponsored by the Sociological Practice Committee

The Sociological Practice Committee will host a reception Saturday, March 31, at 5:30 in the Maple Lake Room, 4th floor, at the conference hotel. Committee Chair Bill Lovekamp invites all practitioners to get acquainted, create alliances and network with colleagues. The Sociological Practice Committee will meet at 4:00 pm immediately preceding the reception, and yes - practitioners are invited to that, too. Email questions to Committee Chair Bill Lovekamp

 

Invitation to dinner with the Society for the Study of Symbolic Interaction [SSSI]

SSSI will meet at 5:15 pm, Saturday, March 31st, in the 5th-floor hotel lobby near the gift-shop door, to walk to Crave, 825 Hennepin, for a 5:30 reservation. The group will order from the menu. Make your reservation by emailing Laurie Linhart.
