My name is Edgar Punti and I am a Bilingual Associate with AFLAC. We provide Insurance Programs and Services to businesses of all sizes and individuals at no direct cost to the business; you may know us as do most people from our crazy duck commercials on TV.

Aflac is the leading provider in voluntary benefit programs which offer cash benefits to YOU and your family when hurt or sick, helping you pay your own bills regardless what your health insurance pays. We help owners through these tough economic times to offer more options to their employees at no direct cost to the business.

We're in the business of helping people and businesses and would be honored to give you a free consultation to discover your needs.  Please call me at 773-732-5889 or email at edgar_punti@us.aflac.com. Aflac has more than 500,000 business clients in the country and 40 million people we insure.

I'm also in the business of networking in the community so feel free to contact me and maybe I can help you out!

Last month the Chamber celebrated Valentine's Day with another dinner dance.  Fun was had by all.  Take a look  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wUYP-AnI7ak
LACC Chairman Greetings!

I am pleased to welcome five new members to the LACC Board of Directors.  The addition to our leadership brings to the chamber a group of professionals with deep understanding of the challenges we face as business owners.  They have a perspective which will help shape the organization for years to come.  These community leaders will focus on providing the vision for the LACC as we embark on a new direction and bring on board exiting new projects and initiatives.  Stay tune for those announcements!

2010 Census
Census 2010

We can't move forward until you mail it back.

In March of 2010, census forms will be delivered to every residence in the United States and Puerto Rico. When you receive yours, just answer the 10 short questions and then mail the form back in the postage-paid envelope provided. If you don't mail the form back, you may receive a visit from a census taker, who will ask you the questions from the form.

The majority of the country will receive English-only materials. Households in areas with high concentrations of Spanish-speaking residents may receive a bilingual (English/Spanish) form.

Any personal data you provide is protected under federal law.

Metroplitan Leadership Institute application

After launching UNO's Metropolitan Leadership Institute (MLI) in 2001, the Latino community has reaped the benefits of new, young and committed leadership. The individuals that have gone through the MLI represent the great leadership potential of Chicagoland's community - individuals who are actively committed to change in their respective communities and arenas.

UNO has always created new avenues of public leadership; engaging Latinos toward civic action. More than ever, we also have a responsibility to train new leaders - to develop them to be more than just angry activists, satisfied with rhetoric and symbolism. Our job is to help new leaders generate results rather than frustration; to keep them from becoming disillusioned by the public decision-making process, or worse, disengaged from it altogether.

The MLI provides individuals with a greater appreciation for the ambiguities and nuances of the public arena and the challenges of public life.

UNO is now accepting applications for the MLI class of 2011 online. We hope you Apply Today!
