My name is Blanca Castaneda and I am a Senior District Manager for ADP.  We work with small businesses to deliver taylor-made solutions that meet the needs of businesses with less than 49 employees.

We help businesses maintain Payroll tax compliance, taking full liability on generally complex tax filiings and IRS deposits. We navigate essential Workers Compensation insurance and Human Resources <issues>, allowing clients to focus on what they do best.  Our workman's comp Pay-by-Pay program ensures clients break even at audit time - saving them money. My clients also enjoy perks such as free labor law posters and business referrals. To contact me please email blanca_castaneda@adp.com.

Collaborations with businesses, like fellow LACC member, EER Services has brought phenomenal results for both, accountant/ Edgar Ruano and clients. LACC Chairman Greetings!

The credit crunch is putting the brakes on business

expansion plans across Illinois.  As a result of the financial crisis, banks have altered lending practices and  tightened
(some may say closed) the spigot on commercial loans.
But help may be on the way.  The Obama administration is pressuring banks to accelerate lending and thus help create jobs.  A new program about to get started could help small businesses looking for credit to expand operations.

Business Plan 101 Workshop

Would you build a house without blueprints? Assemble a piece of furniture without directions? Set up electronics without the manual? Then why would you start a business without a plan?

Having an idea and knowing what the end product should look like requires vision. To realize that vision you need a detailed plan that will direct you on the steps to take, the length of time required to complete and what you will need to complete it.

Starting a business can be the most exciting and riskiest time in a business owner's life. Whether starting a restaurant, retail shop, or professional service, the one common factor is the business plan. While the business plan is the most important part of a successful business, many owners fail to recognize this. The process of creating a good plan requires thorough research, goal setting, and detailed maps of operation and finances. Spend the necessary time to review & know the final plan inside and out. You must be able to explain the details and assumptions behind the plan to an investor or banker.

If you are a current, new or prospective business owner join us on January 12, 2010 at the Latin American Chamber of Commerce for workshop on business planning.

2010 Census Recruiting Effort
Census 2010

Our recruiting efforts for 2009 census taker jobs has ended. However, our peak recruitment effort begins in the fall of 2009, with the majority of hiring taking place in the spring of 2010. If you would like to prepare for the upcoming recruitment effort, you may download and print the Census Practice Test. The practice test is similar to the actual test, which measures basic skills, abilities, and knowledge required to perform a variety of census jobs.
If you have already applied for a census taker job, your application will remain active and you do not need to reapply. However, if you need to update your contact information provided on your application, you may do so by calling our toll-free Jobs Line at 1-866-861-2010 where you will be routed to your Local Census Office.
To learn about other census jobs in your area, please visit the 2010 Census Regional Offices Web site, select your state on the map provided, and then select the "Regional Employment" option.
