Greetings!

Summer is here!  The temps are high and vacations are in full swing.
 
June is the month we honor our fathers, and in this issue we want to talk about Men's Health. So guys, listen up!  We have some thought provoking facts to give you concerning your health.
 
We've been gearing up here at AHC for the upcoming Super Applied Concept-Therapy Class on June 28 and 29 in Midtown, Atlanta. This class is essential for understanding ourselves and learning how to create better lives. Why should you take a Concept-Therapy class? Read on and we'll give you some food for thought on that question.
 
We also want to introduce you to the newest addition to the AHC team, Georgette Sneed, our new Massage Therapist!

Why Take a Concept-Therapy Class?

 Mark your calendars for
June 28 and 29, 2008!

Whatever your present beliefs are, you will find in this class a simple, understandable method of using to your benefit the natural laws upon which the Universe operates.
 
The Universe includes YOU!. You are a part of it.
 These Laws apply directly to you. 

By learning the Laws of Life you are able to make them the foundation of all your choices. Most of life's difficulties come from our unknowing violation of these Laws. When you begin to align yourself with these Universal Laws, you can match what you're looking for with what you get. You have a new orderly method of CHOOSING what you want in Life.

Concept Therapy teaches what these Laws are and how they work. Negative or positive thoughts produce corresponding conditions.  You have the power to control your thought world, attracting to yourself what you consciously choose to have. When you learn to do this, you begin to understand how to be at peace with yourself and with the world in which you live. Your natural abilities are awakened as you learn how to use your power of thought  to your advantage.
 
This newfound power you will discover within yourself will allow you to  deal with negative personalities and transform your relationships. Parents and  children, teachers and students, doctors and  patients, husbands and wives. All can be transformed and improved.
 
The outer circumstances of your life will improve as well. Your finances and health can become what you consciously choose them to be.
 
Learn the causes of your successes and failures. Get the answers to your problems. Who doesn't want peace, health, abundance, and happiness? A  Concept Therapy class will give you the knowledge and tools you need to have what you want.
 
Here's one story of how Concept Therapy changed a life.
 
"My life is a story filled with repeated crises of almost every degree, beginning at an early age. Disastrous personal relationships, financial crisis, and chronic health issues plagued me for most of my adult years. Each life disaster was worse than the previous one.
 
With no knowledge such as Concept Therapy teaches, I formed deep seated beliefs and concepts that perpetuated these crises in my life. I came to believe that all my problems were caused by someone or something else over which I had no control, and that life was a meaningless and random chain of events. The result was a chronic state of hopelessness.
 
By the time I was introduced to Concept Therapy, I was beginning to let of go of the desire to continue on. Life was just a long ongoing unhappy experience for me. My mantra became, "What's the use of trying?"  
 
I've attended many Concept Therapy classes,  including the upper phases of the teaching. As a result of having this knowledge and learning how to apply it, I've watched my life transform before my eyes. No more crisis. I'm learning to recognize the negative forces in my own mind that created my hell. I'm beginning to experience peace and health for the first time. Fear and pain are taking a back seat and receding in my world.
 
I would say to anyone who asks, take a CT class. Learn to "Know Thyself" and watch what happens. The answers to your problems are within you. Going within is a journey that will rock your world and show you the "Peace that passes all understanding".

Sound Nutrition
is vital for men at any age. They need antioxidants, fiber, vitamins, essential fatty acids and other nutrients. Yet these seem to be the very nutrients missing from many men's diets.
 
Many men seem to limit themselves nutritionally by choosing unhealthy foods. Most men don't seem to know what foods they should eat or why they should eat them.
 
A man's energy requirements and nutritional needs generally slow down and decrease with age. Essentially, although men require the same basic nutrients at any age, the amounts tend to be different. Though the recommended daily intake of vitamins and minerals might remain very similar at any age, an increase is certainly helpful as men grow older.
 
American men consume more calories and fat than recommended, resulting in 25 percent being overweight or obese. With age their metabolism changes and they begin to burn less calories while consuming more. 
 
Many men should be getting more fiber, vitamins B, D and E, and magnesium from sources like eggs, whole-grain cereals and breads, nuts, seeds and green leafy vegetables. They should be eating more raw or organic foods and reducing saturated fats, chromium, and salt.
 
 Here's a list of "Superfoods" men tend to overlook that are rich in nutrients and antioxidants.

Although men need more organic and raw foods, soil depletion and overfarming have reduced the organically complex minerals and enzymes in our foods. That's why proper supplementation is necessary. Avoid synthetic chemicals such as acetates, oxides, and carbonates. The body works better when it's receiving a regular supply of healthy, organically complex, carbon-bound nutrients.
 
Other Laws of the Body to consider - Stay active!
Perform light resistance exercise. Increase intake of essential nutrients. Consume dietary fiber. Only take supplements that are all-natural and contain organically complex minerals and nutrients. Follow these simple guidelines and maintain a life filled with health and vitality!

Mango Yogurt Ice
Try this cool summer treat for a hot summer day!
 
 INGREDIENTS
 
1 pound ripe mango flesh, chopped
1 1/4 cups low-fat peach or apricot yogurt
2/3 cup Mediterranean-style yogurt
2/3 cup low-fat plain yogurt
2-4 tablespoons sugar
fresh mint sprigs to decorate
 
Place the mango flesh in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Transfer to a bowl.
 
Add all three yougurts and blend until thououghly mixed.
 
Stir in enough of the sugar to sweeten to taste and stir to mix.
 
Pour the mixture into a shallow plastic container. Cover and chill for 1 1/2 - 2 hours until it is mushy in consistency. Turn the mixture into a chilled bowl and beat until smooth.
 
Return the mixture to the plastic container; cover and freeze until the ice is firm. Transfer the ice to the refrigerator about 30 minutes before serving to allow it to soften a little. Serve in scoops decorated with mint sprigs.
 
Cooks Tip
 
Replace the mango with other fruits of a similar texture and delicate taste such as peach or apricot.
