Hello Camp Alumni!
It's been a while since my last posting in the Scroll-Log and I have many
things to report. I hope you all had a wonderful summer. This was
an especially meaningful one for me since it was my son's freshman year at
Kenwood. As many of you have experienced, it's pretty cool to see your
child love a place that is so special to us all.

Do you have memorabilia to share?
|
While we were able to replace most of the regalia and memorabilia that burned last summer, there were some items we could not replace. If you have any classic Camp items -- one-of-a-kind photos, banners, historic pennants, etc. -- and you wouldn't mind donating them to Camp, please contact Jason in the Camp Office at 781-793-0091 or jason@kenwood-evergreen.com.

The Scroll-Log The Online Newsletter of the Camps Kenwood & Evergreen Community
|
Greetings!
The chill
of November is in the air, and most of the leaves have fallen from the trees
here in Sharon, MA and on the shores of Eagle Pond. The beautiful colors of
autumn have given way to frosty mornings, and we know that winter's blanket
will be settling on Mt. Kearsarge in the coming weeks. Autumn and winter have
their own beauty, but in my mind's eye, there is nothing as beautiful as the
site of those big yellow buses rolling down Eagle Pond Road in late June,
bringing you all back to your summer home! We are all waiting for that day to
arrive, but in the meantime, we are the busiest we have ever been as we prepare
for next summer!

Phrom Phyllis
Hi Everyone,
I hope that everyone has now adjusted to being at home. I know it is never an easy adjustment
to leave Camp, but we all go through it and manage by counting the days until
next camp season begins.

Greetings from the Sebells
Hello everyone!
All is well in our
home. Jack and Max are growing up
fast before our eyes. Just after
Camp, Max said his first word: "guitar".
Jason was so proud! Max
spends most of his free time dragging his toy guitar around the house,
strumming it and shoving anything he can find into the sound hole. Jack is very into reading books, and is
still playing the drums every moment that he can. They both miss Camp and their Camp friends a lot!

Dane's World
After the incredibly early
wake up, last minute packing, quick-eaten breakfast and goodbye hugs, the last
morning of Camp passed by in an exhausting and emotional blur. As our campers
headed home to meet eagerly awaiting family, our staff began the process of closing
down Camp for another season. Luggage was loaded onto trucks, bunks were
cleaned and equipment was put away. When the afternoon arrived and Camp was
clean our staff began to unwind - some took a nap, some played tennis or
volleyball and I joined a group in the Hollow to play soccer. |
Camp friends in the News
About a week ago David Zylber alerted us that while on vacation Camp Alumnus Lars Margolis had tried out for the Finnish Rugby Team...and made it! A week later David forwarded us this email announcing that Lars had scored a goal in his first game with the team. Cha-hee, Cha-ha to you, Lars! _______________________________
As Liz mentioned in her Alumni News article the A&E Television show "Intervention" won an Emmy this month in the category of Oustanding Reality Program. Congratulations to creator Sam Mettler and executive producer Robert Sharenow, Kenwood Alumni and former bunkmates.
