Greetings! |
Happy New Year! How have the first two weeks of the new decade been? How are your resolutions and goals coming along? On the group coaching and group programs front a lot of coaches and facilitators are gearing up for program launches later this month and next as people are reaching out for focused support. This month's big news is that my book, Effective Group Coaching, is now available in the marketplace. I hope that you will take advantage of a special launch discount of 20% which I am offering for the next month. Copies ordered through my site will be personally signed by me, and you will be invited to a special call on group coaching issues. More information follows. I am gearing up to head off to West Africa at the end of the month to deliver coaching and mentoring skills training to 27 staff within the UN. I'll be sure to share more information in my next newsletter about the experience. With the recent events in Haiti, where I delivered training 4 years ago, my former colleagues at the UN have been very much in the forefront of my mind. I hope that you are making the most of 2010 and I do enjoy this month's newsletter with links to a new January audio for you to enjoy, posts on visual facilitation, and more info on the book and upcoming programs. See you next month!
Warm regards, Jenn

Quick Tips and Ideas To Add To Your Idea Box |
Here are some of the nuggets I have been writing and speaking about in recent weeks:
Visual Facilitation - Coach Julie Gieseke of MapTheMind.org attended my session last month at the ICF Conference and did her magic as a visual facilitator - take a look at this really neat add on to a standard facilitation approach. Taking Stock of Your Group Programs: If you didn't have a chance to build in time to reflect on your programs for last year, and look at where you want to go in 2010, click on over to these questions.
In follow up to my newsletter article last month, I included links to some of my favorite group caoching tools of last year. For those who have indicated an interest in the Visual Explorer tool from the Center for Creative Leadership, you may also be interested to note they have a Leadership Metaphor tool as well which you may be interested in if you do culture work within organizations.
I also spoke earlier this month to the Coach U/ICF Group Coaching SIG. We had a really engaging call. you can listen to the recording of the January 7th call at:
http://www.freeconferencepro.com Login: GroupSIG Password: coach
The group meets virtually each month on the first Thursday of the month at 3 pm ET. I hope that you will enjoy listening to the Jan 7, 2010 recording which is me speaking about Tried and Tested Tools for Group Coaching.
