Greetings!
What's on your radar screen this summer in terms of group programs - workshops, retreats, or group coaching? Are you leading programs or gearing up for some new ones?

I'd like to welcome all new subscribers to this monthly newsletter, which is for coaches, trainers and others who do work in the domains of group coaching, workshops and retreats. If you haven't visited yet, please also check out the Group Coaching Ins and Outs blog, where I regularly post tips on group program tools, and ideas.

This month I am celebrating the achievement of a major milestone in my work as a coach. I received my PCC (Professional Certified Coach) this month from the International Coach Federation. Demonstrated excellence in our profession is a very important value to me -- where are you with your credentializing?

In this month's newsletter you will find upcoming program announcements and a number of articles with tips for your group programs.

As always, I would welcome your comments and updates on what's happening in your life and work. Please sit back and enjoy this month's newsletter!

A Treasure Trove of Ideas for your programs
Here is this month's sampling of ideas, tips and tools for your own programs:

Group Facilitation Tip - Using MindMaps

I was recently reminded about the power of MindMaps during a program I was leading on Project Management. Many participants had not yet been exposed to what MindMaps were, and the glistening in their eyes when they got the Ah-ha was amazing.

MindMaps are a tool I use with individual clients when they are stuck or overwhelmed. It's a great way for people to purge their ideas and get them out on paper.

I also use MindMaps to develop most of my group programs. I was reminded of the power of the tool for this purpose during this month's Workshop and Retreat Essentials program, when current participants applied this tool to their own program development.

Group Facilitation Tip - What's your greatest Ah-ha?
How many times do you check in with participants to find out what is their greatest ah-ha? Do you leave it for the end of the day, or end of the program, or do you check in at strategic points along the course of a program?

A great powerful question to ask before coffee breaks, or lunch, is to ask participants, "What is your greatest ah-ha so far?".
