Greetings!

Welcome to November's issue of Group Program Nuggets. It's hard to believe that we are moving into the last month of 2006. Where has the year gone? In this edition, I'll be sharing with you some review and planning questions for your group programs, as well as providing you with some updates for our 2007 lineup.

As has been my tradition for the last two years, I will be offering a free teleseminar in December on group program issues. I will be sending out a separate email on this in the coming days and I hope that you can join me!

If you haven't done so recently, I'd invite you to visit the Group Coaching Ins and Outs blog where you will find many postings on topics related to group coaching and other group programs. I welcome your comments and thoughts! Enjoy.

Exercise for Your Group Program Success

Reflecting on 2006/Visionning for 2007

I love this time of year – every year I carve out time in December to finalize plans for my business for the upcoming year. What do you have planned for 2007? Chances are, if you are a coach, you are already supporting your clients with reflections on 2006 and planning for 2007. Here’s your opportunity to think about it in the context of group programs, whether it is a workshop, retreat or group coaching program.

Set aside 30 minutes over the coming weeks to start planning and visionning for the upcoming year, as well as celebrating this past years successes. Here are some questions to get you going (and feel free to add your own):

Reflecting on 2006:

  1. What was the scope of my group programs this year?
  2. What new skillls have I gained that will be useful for my group programs?
  3. What new knowledge do I have that will be useful for my programs?
  4. What new contacts did I make?
  5. What new resources did I acquire that will be useful?
  6. What am I most proud of accomplishing this year with respect to my group programs
  7. How will I celebrate this?
  8. My biggest learning about group programs this year was....
  9. My biggest stretch this past year was.....

Visionning for 2007:

  1. What group programs will I offer in 2007?
  2. I want to serve ____ clients in 2007 (insert number)
  3. I want to generate ____ dollars from my group programs in 2007
  4. What additional resources do I need in order to make my programs as successful as possible?
  5. What additional skills or knowledge do I need to make my programs as successful as possible.
  6. What is one thing I can do to challenge myself, and my business, next year with respect to group programs.
  7. My three most important goals as it relates to group programs in 2007 are.....

Stretch yourself to make your vision for 2007 as big, bold, specific and challenging for yourself as possible. Refer to your vision often, share it with the world. Who can you draw on for support to make this vision a reality?

I’d welcome your feedback on this exercise, and please feel free to adapt it for your own clents.

I will be holding a special Holiday Virtual Retreat on Saturday December 9th from 10 - 3pm, which you or your clients may be interested in. I've run a number of virtual retreats this year, which are lots of fun, and also very appealing to busy professionals.

The Haven Amidst the Holidays retreat is designed to create quiet renewal space in the busy holiday season. It is an opportunity to reflect on 2006, and do some creative planning for 2007.

We will be meeting by phone on the 9th, enabling you to retreat from your favorite location. We meet every hour on the hour for approximately 15-20 minutes, with the remainder of the hour spent doing individual exercises from our own location. Participants will receive a Retreat Manual and we will be holding a follow-up call in January. Please visit the link below which includes more information about the retreat, as well as Frequently Asked Questions.

The cost for the retreat is $75 to November 30th, and this price will remain in effect for those who register with a friend or colleague. Pricing from December 1st moves to $97 Space is limited to 10 partcipants. Have you made your Holiday Wishlist for Books?

We've partnered with Amazon

I'm pleased to announce that our online bookstore, powered by Amazon, is now available. Some of my favorite resource collections for group programs are now listed all in one place. You may want to add some of these to your holiday wishlist, or treat yourself. If you have some additional recommendations of resources you'd like to see listed, please let me know. The shopping cart will take you directly to Amazon and their trusty secure processing.

As we start to wind down 2006 I hope that this last month is productive and full. If you know of anyone else who would benefit from receiving this e-newsletter, please feel free to forward it to them, using the forward email link below.

With best wishes for your continued group success,
