JUST ANNOUNCED--The Joy of Coldworking |
 Johnathon Schmuck, author of The Joy of Coldworking, will be returning to San Antonio to teach two, 2-day classes in Coldworking. He will share his vast knowledge and experience of coldworking, including a bevy of nuances and insights that are not in the book. Join us for either a beginning seminar, an intermediate session --or both -- with "the guy who wrote the book on Coldworking!"
Beginning Cold Working
April 15th - 16th, 2010
We will start by introducing each of the coldshop tools -- what they do, how to use them safely, and why they are important. Our time will be spent gaining the skills to bring comfort, ease, and success to the most essential coldworking applications. We will work with some machines -- the diamond saw, the sandblaster, the lap grinder, and the belt sander.  We will also learn about the multitude of hand lapping applications and tools. Begin your coldworking by learning from the best!
Intermediate Cold Working
April 17th - 18th, 2010
We will have two days of intensive coldworking -- with lectures, demos, and a lot of working time. We will explore lathe working with diamond wheels, air-powered hand grinders, multi-stage sandblasting, firepolishing, and many of the subtleties of matte finishes achieved manually and chemically. There will also be instruction on how to achieve a good polish on the lapping wheel and belt sander. We will have time for special topics and well as problem solving. If your coldworking needs some stimulation, then this is the class for you!
