Atlanta, GA - January 25, 2010 -
GALEO has had a great Familia Membership drive which started in October 2009 during the Hispanic Heritage Month Luncheon.  All are encouraged to become members by February 1, 2010.

"Thanks to the generosity of Air Tran Airways, anyone who becomes a new GALEO Member or renews their GALEO Membership will be entered in a drawing to win a pair of Air Tran Airways travel vouchers," said Jerry Gonzalez, Executive Director of GALEO.

GALEO Members can increase their level of membership and that will increase the chance to win the Air Tran Airways travel vouchers.  If a person becomes a member at the basic Amigo/Amiga level for $15.00, that GALEO Member will be entered into the drawing once.  If a person becomes a GALEO member at the Padrino/Padrina level of $250.00, that GALEO Member will be entered into the drawing five times.

"We do hope that many community members will join GALEO today and support our ongoing efforts of enhancing civic engagement and leadership development across Georgia within the Latino community.  We have important work ongoing with our GALEO Institute for Leadership, promotion of the upcoming 2010 Census, Georgia Latino Vote 2010, GALEO Leadership Council and our ongoing commitment towards realizing comprehensive immigration reform from our U.S. Congress.  By joining GALEO as a member, you help the cause," concluded Jerry Gonzalez, GALEO.
