On October 3, 2008, a full month before the election of Barack Obama, I wrote,
"The cost of dependence on social welfare engineered policies and programs commenced in the Roosevelt (FDR) years, and developed since by elected Federal officials for personal and political gain, has now been laid at the feet of every household in America. It is indeed an 'evil' time and the 'sons of men' have been 'snared' in 'an evil net', like 'birds...caught in a snare."
 So what has changed in the nearly three years after Barack Obama promised transparency, bi-partisan- ship, leadership, and "fundamental change" (to our good) he led us to believe would come to America if he were elected?
The Obama Administration refuses to fund abstinence education for our youth, but unilaterally intervenes in state business to ensure Planned Parenthood receives nearly 2 million dollars to fund abortion. His Attorney General announces he will not defend DOMA, the law of the land regarding marriage, even though his President swore to uphold those laws at his inauguration. Obama's ideological friends, with his strong support, forced passage of both a government dictated healthcare bill and a politically motivated moral experiment upon our military while he places his political future above the economic woes of millions, and the nation itself. He defies, even violates our Constitutuion at will.
Responding to the President's latest tax-hiking proposal, Gary Bauer reports that even a democrat pollster wrote that Obama is "careening down the wrong path" by dividing America"through class warfare." 'Careening' is putting it mildly, and applies far more to the nation and the people of America than this misguided President.
"It is indeed an 'evil' time." "Like fish which are taken in an evil net, and like birds which are caught in a snare", the American people find themselves subjugated again as at the time prior to our revolutionary war, to a tyrant king and an indifferent parliament. |
