| Greetings!
The Apostle Paul, writing under the inspiration and illumination of the Holy Spirit to the Corinthian Church (I Corinthians 10:11), wrote,
"Now all these things happened unto them (the Jews of the Old Testament) for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come."
'All these things' refers to God's dealings with his wayward and unruly people from the time of Moses forward, including judgement and blessing, and the reasons for both. They are meant for our instruction as warnings, that we may live wisely in these latter days, and not foolishly.
No matter how we may try to rationalize it, the current decline of America morally, spiritually, economically, and politically, parallels that of the Jews as recorded in the Bible. Judgement will come upon America, for the reasons spoken of by King Josiah in II Chronicles 34 and enumerated in chapters 33-36. The warning signs are already upon us.

Our Father, Who knows the end of man and the end of the age, and in Whom we live and move and have our being, forgive us for our earthly preoccupations, idolatrous pursuits, and self serving practices. Move upon our hearts to search Your Word, and examine our hearts, that we may live, and not die in our sins. May we be as King Josiah, who stood before his people to read "the words of the book of the covenant which was found in the house of the LORD." May we covenant before the LORD and many witnesses, as did King Josiah, "to walk after the LORD, and to keep His commandments and His testimonies and His statutes with all our heart and with all our soul, to perform the words of the covenant written in this book." It is in the Name and power of Jesus Christ Who lives within us through the Holy Spirt that we cry out to You to help us keep that which we have committed to You. Amen.
