God Is At Work
Servant heart
April 10, 2011 |
| Greetings!
Have you watched "Undercover Boss" yet on CBS? It seems to me to be the real 'reality' show!
Finding out how your employees deal with the challenges of their work, home and family by going 'undercover' to their places of work and living is an eye opener to Presidents of Companies. But it is more than that. It is a heart opener, a life changing experience for the boss and the employee. It makes them better chief executives, better managers of people, better servants, and humble. America is changing from the inside out, from the heart, and so it should be.
Christ said we are to be servants of others and it is encouraging to see that principle showing up on television with real world owners and their employees.
I recently received the following encouragement from one of our donors who receives The Word For You Today Devotional:
" I stack these things up here in my office and when I start up my computer each morning I have this "dead time" and I have been using that to read these little devotionals, underlining the truths that are so clear. I just received a call from one of my daughters who had to move from Oregon to Pennsylvania and life is stacking up on her family and life. She was in tears because she is away from her family and friends and church..the whole thing. So I mostly listened. When she hung up I decided to write her an email about what I thought was happening, how Satan was attacking her and her family and I used an illustration from the word for Today that I read a day or two ago to encourage her. As usual, it encouraged me too. I've walked with God for almost 50 years now and yet those little devotionals can remind me of all I have learned from life and the bible over the years and still speak directly to me through one paragraph about my situation today. God is so good.
You do a wonderful work trying to right the American ship. The devotional helps me appreciate just how important being American is and that we do have to protect our freedoms to further God's work here on earth. God bless your day and thank you for what you do. Keep it up. It's working.
Lord, I just want to uphold David today. You know his heart and the troubles he is struggling with today. Bless him and his family and meet the needs of this ministry. Show yourself strong so Your name will be honored again from the right coast to the left, so America can be that city on a hill and proclaim the truth of Your son Jesus to the whole world before he comes again. For I pray it in the name of the Savior, amen." |

Abba Father, I am humbled at how you work. You are unlimited in your wisdom and in your ways to meet our needs and to bless us. Thank You that You are at work in America through your people, and that it is becoming more evident every day. Encourage us to follow your example, to be servants of others, to find our satisfaction in serving rather than being served. Thank You LORD for all who pray for Merrily and me, for the Restore America Team of volunteers, and all who give to ensure this ministry goes forward to help restore our beloved nation "Under God." We are grateful for every blessing and every note of witness to Your work in the hearts of our readers and friends. May Christ be honored and exalted in and through our lives this week and the joy of the LORD be manifest in us all. In Jesus Name, Amen. |

To our Visitors and New Friends
Restore America has been calling Christians to awaken to their citizenship duty and voting responsibility for eleven years. Given the increasing threat to the well being of the nation from within, and without, by the ungodly, it is imperative that we inform, motivate, and mobilize the millions of Christians who do not VOTE, to stand together with us at the ballot box in every election; to elect those who will uphold our Judeo Christian heritage and values in public policy. Please partner with us to fulfill our 'Salt and Light' responsibility until He comes. Working together, and with His help, we CAN Restore America!
