The testimony provided at the hearing on the threat of radical Islam to America yesterday in Washington D.C. and the response by elected representatives on the committee from the democrat party was a perfect snapshot of what prevents Washington from protecting the people of America from Islamic Terrorists and financial ruin.
The election of dozens of fiscal and moral conservatives to the House of Representatives and state legislatures in November notwithstanding, without a massive effort by the people, the remaining liberal ideologues in the Senate - aided by the White House - will thwart any possibility of economic recovery and hasten our demise from within and without.
Like the devastating tsunami that arrived on the shores of Japan and crossed the Pacific to threaten Oregon, Washington and California this morning, the democrat denial of fiscal and political reality, deflection of national security issues, and refusal to cut spending, an economic tsunami that will devastate America, is assured.
What the watching public sees:
- Democrats preferring political correctness, obfuscation, and the denigration of objective witnesses in one of the most important issues of our time
- Democrat refusal to deal with facts, that if ignored, will lead to more terror, death, destruction and insecurity - in America
- The exact same pattern and approach Democrats in the Senate are employing in their refusal to cut spending to avoid the financial ruin of America
When you add this to:
- A president who refuses to lead, uphold current law, or make difficult decisions that could reverse the downward spiral of our economy, unemployment, the value of the dollar, and energy costs. . .
- A president who orchestrates union strategy from the White House to thwart the will of the people in controlling the costs of government employees.
Gridlock naturally follows.
With the prospect of continued unemployment, inflation, acts of terror, bankrupt government, lawlessness, and commercial breakdown, you have the certainty of a great nation destroyed by politicians in denial who use deflection and obstruction to preserve their own interests and not those of the nation.
As I said only a week ago. . .
"If the American people - and Christians in particular - do not rise up in support of the conservative leaders in Congress, now, and wrest control of both the Senate and White House in 2012, our free market system will collapse and the America we know with the freedoms we enjoy will be lost."
None of this is inevitable or necessary!
The largest and only voting block in the nation that can reverse this calamity in waiting are the Evangelicals.
Why? They know more than anyone else the moral, and economic, principles upon which the nation was built and which God will honor in restoring the nation.
The problem?
Millions of them are not registered to VOTE, and could be. Of the 20-30 million who are eligible to VOTE and do not, it would take only 2-3 million more Voting in the 2012 elections than in 2008 to return fiscal, moral, and constitutional sanity to Washington D.C. and the states.
If America is to maintain its freedoms, restore prosperity, energy independence, and national security, the Body of Christ must be awakened to the danger we face, to the opportunity in our hands, and mobilized to take action in the 2012 Elections.
To make this happen, the centers of Christian influence, pulpits, technology, Christian organizations, social media and radio must be employed. Christian leaders must be mobilized to drive home the need, and the opportunity, to once again impact our nation for good.
