A unified call to Christians and Jews in America

| Greetings!
In a spirit of love for each other and for America, a Mormon, Baptist Evangelist, Jewish Rabbi, Christian historian, and Fundamentalist Christian Evangelist, stood together today on the Glen Beck Show on Fox News, calling Christians of all Denominations to return to their Judeo Christian principles and values in their own lives, communities, and the public square.
High-lighting the fact that Christians are now no different than unbelievers in divorce, porn habits, abortions, and other less than Christian behaviors, David Barton spoke forthrightly as did Evangelists James Robison and Dave Roever about the absolute necessity for Christians to turn away from our sin and once again honor and exalt Christ as LORD in our personal and public lives (It's called 'repentance'). They spoke of the importance of our pulpits to come alive, speak the truth, and by implication, cease giving sin and our politicians a 'pass'.
As an ordained minister I have said the same thing for three decades to seemingly deaf ears at ministerial meetings, through radio, conferences, commentaries, and speaking engagements! Finally, to the glory of God, respected and proven leaders are speaking out publicly over one of the most watched programs on television. Now it is up to us to give heed to the call, to engage in personal evaluation, repentance, and a commitment to speak up in our school board, city council, and county commissioner meetings; to our legislators, state officials, congressman, bureaucrats, senators, and President, before it is too late and the nation fall.
As they said, there is hope, and there is. . . if. . . those who call themselves Christians in America hear, heed, and turn afresh to God, cry out to Him for mercy and forgiveness, and seek His Face. But if we do not. . . there is no hope for America. |

Please pray that . . .
- The millions who watched The Glen Beck Show today would take this call seriously, fall on their knees, face and name their sin, ask God for forgiveness, for direction, and for strength to take action, first in their relationship with their spouse, then their children, at work, and at church
- Millions who own this call, talk to their pastors, their priests, their rabbis, their elders, deacons, council members and friends in the faith about this call to repentance and action
- Each of us will choose to read the Scriptures daily, continue in repentance, and walk in obedience to our LORD, daily
- Make time for Christ in our lives, our marriages, and in our family time
- We determine to honor and exalt Him in all we say, think, watch, and do
- We purpose to set a different course for our lives
- We determine to be the salt and light citizens we are called to be
- We pray daily for those in authority over us, for Christians in public office, and for men God can call to service who are pure in mind and heart, strong in spirit, full of grace, and truth, in Him

Eternal God, the only true and merciful God, and Saviour of our souls,
we cry out to You for forgiveness. We have all, ALL, sinned and fallen egregiously, and shamefully short of the glory You intended for us, the joy and abundance of life You offer, and can provide, and the peace that passes understanding. We, like the children of Israel, have turned to the wicked ways of the world, departed from loving You, and now love the world, as those who have prostituted themselves to pursue that which does not satisfy.
Have mercy on us for killing our own, even the innocents, to satisfy what does not satisfy, and for which we now pay a monstrous price in our lives and testimony. Forgive us for committing adultery in our own homes with pictures, betraying not only those we say we love, and to whom we have committed ourselves, but You as well.
We are hidden slaves, disempowered, dishonest spouses, derelict from duty, AWOL soldiers, unfit for service to the King of kings and those we are called to love, serve, and not sacrifice to the god of self. No wonder our men are without character, confidence, or spiritual strength. We have sold our souls into bondage and shame for moments of pleasure and daily emptiness, sadness, and loneliness. We have all betrayed You as LORD of our lives, and crucify You afresh, repeatedly, just to satisfy our lusts. Oh God, how can we be saved? How can we hold our heads up with honor and conviction once again, and exalt Your Name? We have become a laughingstock, a dishonor to Your Name!
Praise Your Name, and Yours alone! It is only by Your stedfast love, Your covenant faithfulness that does not change, that we can be delivered and restored, but only if we turn to You in utter and empty brokenness and humility, confess our sin with tears, repent, and cry out to You for mercy and forgiveness. Where is there mercy and grace like this? No where else but in You, Oh LORD!
Open our eyes Dear Lord, to see our wretchedness, even now, as we face the truth about our lives, the shallowness of our witness, the sadness of our state, and the enormity of power to save and restore in Your Son's perfect shed blood, on our behalf.
Turn us, Holy Spirit. Turn us to see what You did for us. May it drop us to our knees as never before. For the sake of Your shed blood, our families, the Body of Christ, and our nation, may we heed the Call of those who know You and walk with You and whom You have raised up to put out this saving Call.
In the Name of Jesus, the only Name under heaven by which men can be saved.

 Restore America has been calling Christians to awaken to their citizenship duty and voting responsibility for eleven years. Given the increasing threat to the well being of the nation from within, and without by the ungodly, and the "salt" and "light" ambassadors we are called to be by our Saviour, it is imperative that we stand together, with our voices in the public square, and at the ballot box in every election in the cause of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness that is found only through Jesus Christ. Please partner with us as we occupy responsibly until He comes.
