What do the events of the Middle East mean for Israel, the United States, and the future?
As early as Genesis, God made it clear that His hand would be upon the Jewish people and their future would be in His hands. The events of the last few weeks may, in the eyes of nations around the globe, be about freedom and throwing off oppressive rule, but those who read the Jewish Scriptures and follow the Middle East closely, know that it is about much more than that.
A Word To The Wise by Malcolm Hedding, the Executive Director of ICEJ (International Christian Embassy Jerusalem), is indeed just that and should be read by all Christians who care about the future of Israel.
In that same regard, Gary Bauer, in a Special Alert today, is asking all Christians who love Israel and understand the danger of turning away from Israel (Cf. Genesis 12:2-3), to call their Congressman in opposition to a bill introduced by Representative Ron Paul of Texas "to end all U.S. aid to Israel." According to Bauer, "The amendment could be voted on before the day is over."
He states, "Call the Capitol Hill Switchboard at 202-224-3121 and ask for your representative's office. If you don't know his or her name, give the operator your zip code and they will transfer you. Tell them to stand with our most reliable ally Israel by opposing the Paul amendment to end all foreign aid. Please take action now!"

Defunding Planned Parenthood
According to Tony Perkins, President of FRC (Family Research Council), "Congress will vote this afternoon on Rep. Mike Pence's (R-IN) Amendment No. 11 to the Full-Year Continuing Appropriations Act, 2011 (H.R. 1) which would prevent government funding for the nation's largest abortion company, Planned Parenthood -- an organization that received over $360,000,000 in taxpayer dollars last year."
Please call the capitol switchboard immediately on both these issues in support of Pence's bill and in opposition to the Ron Paul bill.
